Our Programs

Academic programming

New Generation Christian School offers specialized programs designed to meet students where they are—academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Each program is intentional, research-based, and rooted in our commitment to support the diverse learning needs of every child.

NeuroDiverse

Our NeuroDiverse Program supports students with unique neurological needs who may benefit from smaller, highly structured learning environments. While our standard class size is 15, NeuroDiverse classrooms range from:
– 1–4 students for intensive support
– Up to 8 students for mid-sized groups

Students receive instruction in academics, emotional regulation, and social skills with the goal of transitioning into traditional classrooms when they are ready.

NeuroDiverse spaces include sensory-friendly areas for students who need time to decompress and are adapted to reduce common triggers for neurodiverse learners.

This program is led by Bobby Kelly, who holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and extensive experience working with neurodiverse and autistic students. Families are also supported by Case Manager Kelly Nail, who assists with connecting parents to additional services and in-home support.

Elementary Program (K–6)

Our Elementary Program, directed by Mrs. Lori Perry, serves students from Kindergarten through 6th grade. With more than 20 years of experience across public, private, and Montessori education, Mrs. Perry leads a program built on meeting children at their individual academic and developmental levels.

Recognizing that readiness varies widely, New Generation offers flexible placement:

– Advanced learners may move into higher-level curriculum (e.g., a kindergartener working in first-grade materials).
– Students who need reinforcement may work in a lower grade grouping to develop mastery and deep understanding.
– Sixth grade is uniquely offered in both the Elementary and Middle/High School programs, allowing placement based on emotional and social readiness.

We do not retain students; instead, we adapt instruction to their pace of learning. Research shows retention significantly increases the likelihood of high school dropout, and our commitment is to support progression—whether that requires advanced coursework or additional remediation.

Middle & High School Program (6–12)

Led by Mrs. Sari Holcombe, one of New Generation’s earliest staff members, our Middle and High School Program spans grades 6–12 and maintains a strong foundation in the school’s core philosophies.

Students are assessed and placed in skill-based Math, Reading, and Language Arts courses to ensure they build strong fundamental skills before advancing. This approach allows students to work at a level where they can demonstrate mastery and progress step-by-step. As a result, many students achieve several years of academic growth within a single year, and some qualify for dual enrollment opportunities.

Science and Social Studies follow a more traditional content-based structure but are taught from a Christian perspective.

A full day each week is designated for life skills and Christian education, including:

– Bible study
– Chapel
– Practical skills such as completing job applications, managing a checkbook, resolving conflicts, and reducing stress

While we are a Christian school and incorporate Biblical teaching throughout our curriculum, we welcome students of all faith backgrounds. We ask only that all students participate in chapel and Bible study with respect.
