At New Generation Christian School, our vision is to meet the spiritual, educational, and emotional needs of students in Columbia County and beyond. We are committed to providing a nurturing environment where each child can thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.
Our Philosophy
New Generation’s educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that all students can and want to learn. Founded by Dr. Paula Gorman, a Doctor of Educational Psychology, our approach is rooted in an in-depth understanding of how the brain learns. We carefully select research-based curricula that have been proven effective in real classroom settings, ensuring every student receives instruction that truly supports their learning.
From the moment a student joins New Generation, they are assessed to determine their exact academic level. We then create a personalized learning plan that meets each student where they are and helps them progress as quickly as possible. Students are reassessed at the end of the year, and many achieve multiple years’ academic growth in a single year. On average, students gain two to three years in Math, Reading, and Language Arts annually.
Who We Serve
Mainstream Education with included Neurotypical students
Our Mainstream education is K-12 with students having the ability to earn an accredited High School Diploma upon completion of course requirements.
NeuroDiverse Program
Our NeuroDiverse program is designed for students with unique neurological needs who may not be ready for the standard classroom size of 15. Class sizes in NeuroDiverse range up to 9 students and serve K-12th grade. NeuroDiverse students also have the ability to earn an Accredited High School Diploma.
Students receive instruction in academics, emotional regulation, and social skills to prepare them for eventual integration into traditional classrooms. These classrooms are thoughtfully designed with sensory-friendly spaces to help students decompress and minimize triggers.
Kelly Nail, the NeuroDiverse Program Administrator, has extensive experience with neurodiverse and autistic students. Additionally, she provides support to families by connecting them to other resources and in-home services.
